# Sagar Shah — Full Stack AI Engineer > Freelance full stack AI engineer in Ahmedabad, India. A decade of fast, accessible React, Next.js and Node products, now with AI agents on top. Available for new projects. - Website: https://sagarshah.dev - Email: reachsagarshah@gmail.com - Phone: +91 8980500565 - Location: Ahmedabad, India · IST (UTC+5:30) - Availability: Available for new projects ## Services - **AI features that survive users** — Chat that streams, agents that call your tools, retrieval that answers from your data instead of guessing, and long jobs that keep running after the tab closes. Built on the Claude and OpenAI APIs, with evaluations and spend limits in place before launch, not after the first bill. - **The whole product, front to back** — Typed React and Next.js on top; Node with Express or NestJS and PostgreSQL underneath, plus vector search when your data has to be found by meaning rather than by keyword. Fast on a mid-range phone, usable from the keyboard, accessible by default rather than by audit. One person owns both ends, so nothing falls through the gap between them. - **Design to code, designer optional** — Send a Figma file and it comes back as pixel-perfect, responsive, accessible code. No Figma file and no designer? I use AI to put a clickable wireframe in front of you within a day, then build the real interface from your existing components. Nothing waits on a hire. ## Selected work All five are live, in production, with real users. I don't hand the interface to someone else and hope it comes back right. User experience, accessible markup, and code the next person can actually read all matter to me equally. I shipped my first production code in December 2015 and haven't stopped since. A decade later the tools have changed — these days it's Next.js, TypeScript, NestJS and Tailwind CSS — but the part I like most hasn't: watching something go from a rough sketch to a URL that real people use. I've worked both sides of the table. Over four years leading teams at an agency — architecture, sprint planning, enterprise clients — and since 2021, independent, working directly with founders and product teams who need one person who can hold the whole picture. I like owning a product end to end: ideation, design, build, ship. Small teams suit me best — fewer handoffs, faster decisions, and no ambiguity about who is responsible for the thing working. When I'm not in developer mode, you'll find me on [X](https://x.com/shahsagarm) or Indie Hackers, watching early-stage founders build in public. I do a bit of that myself — I post what I'm learning and what I'm breaking, and most of it ends up on [GitHub](https://github.com/shahsagarm). A few quick bits: B.E. in Computer Engineering; Full-time freelancer since 2021; Based in Ahmedabad, India (IST); Avid learner; Aspiring indie hacker; Ships UI without waiting on a designer. ## Testimonials - "Job well done! A short call to pin down the real problem, then a written plan with milestones before I write any code. After that you get working software every week — not a status update. ### What kind of work do you take on? Three kinds: a fixed project with a clear scope, a monthly retainer, or joining your team as an extra pair of hands. I'll build the whole thing or just the front end — your call. ### Can you build AI features? Yes — chat that streams, agents that use your tools, answers pulled from your own data. Built on the Claude and OpenAI APIs, with spend limits and tests in place before launch, not after the first bill. ### I don't have a designer. Is that a problem? No. Send a Figma file and it comes back as pixel-perfect code. No Figma? I'll put a clickable wireframe in front of you within a day, then build the real thing from your existing components. ### What do you build with? React, Next.js and TypeScript on the front. Node with Express or NestJS and PostgreSQL behind it. If your stack is something else, tell me — I'd rather say it's not a fit than learn on your budget. ### Where are you based, and will our hours overlap? Ahmedabad, India — IST (UTC+5:30). That's a full working day with Europe, mornings with Australia, and the start of the day with the US East Coast. Slack and email day to day, calls when a call is faster. ### Are you free, and how do we start? Yes, I'm taking on new work right now. Email reachsagarshah@gmail.com with what you're building and when you need it — if it's a fit, you get a plan and a timeline back; if it isn't, I'll say so. ## Links - [CV (PDF)](https://sagarshah.dev/files/sagar-shah-full-stack-ai-engineer.pdf) - [GitHub](https://github.com/shahsagarm) - [X](https://x.com/shahsagarm) - [Site source code](https://github.com/shahsagarm/sagarshah.dev) - [Sitemap](https://sagarshah.dev/sitemap.xml)
